Bio Stimulators

Bio Stimulators such as Sculptra and Radiesse are an FDA-approved injectable that helps your body's collagen production and can help restore facial volume and smoothness. It is effective in areas such as smile lines, marionette lines and chin wrinkles. Bio Stimulators are made with poly-L-lactic acid which slowly absorbs over time and stimulates the body’s collagen production.

It is a quick and minimally invasive procedure with no downtime and results that can last up to two years. You may experience some swelling, redness or lumps after the treatment for a couple of days but will receive long-lasting results!

Dermal Fillers & Lip Injections

Dermal fillers are a quick, safe and effective way to restore volume and fullness for facial rejuvenation and a youthful appearance. At Tufford Medical Aesthetics, dermal filler treatments typically last 30-60 minutes with minimal downtime required. Results can be seen after two weeks but may need yearly follow up treatments to maintain them. Patients can expect some redness, mild swelling and minor bruising at the injection site.

Belkyra Double Chin Treatment

Submental fullness, also known as a “double chin” can occur as a result of aging, genetics or weight gain. Belkyra, also known as Kybella, is a non-surgical treatment approved by Health Canada and the FDA that helps to reduce fullness in the area under the chin. It works by injecting deoxycholic acid into the fat beneath your chin which destroys fat cells resulting in noticeable reduction.

Each 30 minute treatment requires multiple small injections and most patients need three treatments spaced at least 4 weeks apart. After each treatment, some swelling and bruising may occur with 1-3 weeks of downtime. Optimal results will usually be seen after 4 to 6 weeks with additional treatments potentially necessary to reach desired results.

Botox for Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a condition that can be treated with Botox treatment. This injection works by blocking the release of acetylcholine molecules from the nerve endings to the sweat glands. Results are seen within 48 hours and there is up to 95% reduction in sweat. With one treatment, patients can experience four to fourteen months of dryness. Odour associated with sweat also decreases with the reduction in perspiration.
